This is a desktop organizer that I designed for my fellow classmate, Fiona Maisel. It is inspired by her love of cranes and is meant to be made out of her favorite materials, ceramic and acrylic. The acrylic hanging portion is meant to hold writing tools and the space in between the green and yellow blocks and the base of the crane can be used to store her sketchbook.

This laser cut lamp was designed to be a statement piece for a store, restaurant, or even a home space with a more eccentric aesthetic.

For this project, I designed a sustainable menstrual product subscription service, which includes a box that comes filled with all of the menstrual products, a compost bin, and refill packages. The compost bin and first box would be made out of recycled plastic and the pads, tampons, and refill packages would all be made out of algae fiber and/or algae bioplastic, which is completely biodegradable.

This rendering shows the three different options for the first box of the subscription service: the 12-month box, the 6-month box, or the 3-month box. The user decides which box they want based on how often they would like to receive their refill package.

This rendering shows the three different color options of the at-home compost bin that comes with the first box of the subscription service.

For this project, we were asked to design a product inspired by Dieter Rams’ designs for Braun. After quite a bit of ideating and prototyping, I landed on this design of a sewing machine with a simplified interface and a storage case that doubles as a table extension.

This is a rendering of the three different color options of my Braun-inspired sewing machine design: black, navy blue, and cream.

This rendering shows the details of the interface of the Braun-inspired sewing machine in black. Some of the elements shown are the tension, stitch type, stitch length, and stitch width knobs, as well as the handwheel, the mechanism, and the bobbin case.

This rendering shows details such as the bobbin threader, the thread holder, and the upper threading system on the navy blue version of the Braun-inspired sewing machine.

This rendering also shows the details of the front interface of the Braun-inspired sewing machine in the cream version.
