Augmented Reality Furniture

In this short exercise done during the Spring 2021 semester (taught remotely), "Introduction to Product Design" students created simple pieces of furniture that solve the needs of a particular space or user. The process began with a series of sketches, that led to a simple scale model made of simple household materials (such as clay or cardboard). Students then used a photogrammetry process to create 3D scans of their models, in an effort to share with the group and experience each other's ideas through Augmented Reality (AR).
